Equipped Items Shouldn't Take Inventory Space
If you have 1 of each Weapon type equipped as well as a Vest and 2 Amulets you are already missing out on 8 of 48 inventory slots.
Since bandages, dynamite, lockpicks etc. are always going to be in your inventory (a more reasonable inventory tax) that leaves you with much fewer slots than desired for actual looting.

MetzliWell, a quick fix would be to just increase inventory capacity by 8 slots. Until you figure out a way to do it properly. It does seem that the current inventory is kind of a fixed size based on the texture though, so some slight tweaking may be needed there to change the inventory size...

VesperasI'm just adding I'd like to see this as well, seeing as it hasn't been added yet. As-is, the inventory system is one of my biggest gripes with the game. I prefer having my items displayed in a specific order and it becomes tiring having to constantly travel to the bank to unload and reset my gear.
I don't see any point in reducing inventory capacity either. The box achievement can be easily done regardless as no one cares about being forced to leave a deck of cards worth $1 behind. Furthermore, your carrying capacity effectively becomes a non-issue with companions and a horse. What a ridiculous suggestion.
